
JOURNEY TO ICELAND ITINERARY

Wednesday, March 25th-Depart US for Iceland (red-eye flight)
Thursday, March 26th - Arrive! Let the adventure begin!
Jump off the plane and right into the Blue Lagoon. Home to one of the 25 wonders of the world, Blue Lagoon Iceland is a place where the powers of geothermal seawater create transformational spa journeys. Your soak includes a towel, robe, locker, (2) drinks and (2) mud masks, (food at lagoon not included). After showers and quick change, we will head to the Golden Circle where you'll bask in awe at your first glimpse of Icelands giant waterfalls and 'Strokkur' Geysir which erupts every few minutes, shooting water up to 100 feet into the air. Enjoy Lunch here with views of the Geysir (inluded). We'll then travel to our accommodations for the night, Hotel Husafell. Here dinner will be on your own. You may bask in the Geothermal Pools and end the night with a restorative yoga class.
Friday, March 27th - Cave Exploration or A Day of Relaxation
We'll begin the day with morning Yoga and breakfast. Then we'll head out on our adventure of the day!
For those preferring a calmer day, you'll take a stunning easy hike through the remote Icelandic wilderness ending with a geothermal soak in pools nestled in a magnificent highland canyon. There is no experience more authentically Icelandic than hiking through the surreal landscapes of the highlands followed by a relaxing soak in a geothermal pool.
For those of you looking for adventure, you'll explore Iceland's second largest glacier, Langjökull, from the inside! Ascend the majestic white slopes in a hulking modified glacier vehicle and take in the drama of this rare landscape. Then descend into the ice for a glimpse of this wonder-world of ice.
Afterward, we'll check-out of Hotel Husafell and transition toward the South of Iceland (stopping at anything that catches our eye) to Hotel Grímsborgir where we will spend the next two nights. From here we'll have dinner (on your own) followed by restorative yoga and a fun meditation inspired craft before bed.
Saturday, March 28th - We're headed into the Waterfalls!
Get ready for a day of adventure! We'll being with a morning Meditation class, followed by breakfast before heading out. Our first stop will be in Skogafoss where we will get to visit the Skogar Museum (those tiny little huts with mossy roofs you see in pictures). Here we will learn about the ancient Nordic lifestyle, farming and art. After, we'll stop at the cafe for light refreshments and snacks (not included) before starting our light trek to Kvernufoss Waterfall, a beautiful 30-meter high (98 ft) waterfall that is half-hidden away in a gorge. The stunning landscape with have you in awe as we descend into this surreal place - you'll even get to walk behind the falls!
From here, the adventure will continue down toward Vik where we will explore the black sand beaches, Dyholaey Viewpoint, the Lighthouse and Yoda Cave. It is here that our adventure seekers will enjoy the afternoon at Vik Horse Adventure, offering easy riding horse tours on the beautiful and scenic Black sand beach.
For those not interested in horse back riding, you will be able to explore the town of Vik instead. Stop for lunch (on your own), enjoy some local shopping, walk the black sand beach collecting stones, visit the church on the hilltop and more.
We will then depart Vik, stopping at Selijandsfoss/ Glijufrabui falls on our way to dinner at the Old Dairy Food Hall. Dinner is on your own here with choices of anything from Thai to Pizza! We'll then head back to the hotel where the rest of the night is yours to bask in the hot tubs, relax, read and, decompress after a long day.
Sunday, March 29th - Hello Reykjavik
Good Morning! After a well rest, we will begin the day with Morning Yoga and Breakfast before checking out of our hotel and transitioning to Reykjavik! Once we arrive, we'll check into the Canopy Hilton Hotel Iceland then have the entire day to explore the city from 11:30am-4pm. Shopping, Lunch, the Viking Statue Boat, Whale Bone Church, indulging in pastries, bread and icelandic coffee, are just some of the things you can do.
We'll then come back together as a group for a final dinner (included) before we bid farewell . We'll end the night with a closing circle and re-cap our fantastic journey we just had.
Monday, March 30th - Farewell Iceland
In the morning, we'll meet for a morning meditation and breakfast. Pack up our bags, check-out and head to the airport. Goodbye Iceland! It's been amazing!
